The NetEvents Team have returned from another successful NetEvents Asia Pacific Press Summit in Singapore. Sunil Joshi, President, India, AAP, ME, NA, Tata Communications opened the Summit with a keynote speech about the potential opportunity of emerging markets and argued that, despite the recession, "we will see growth kicking and remaining still within the emerging markets, and the developed markets starting to kick back into positive growth of GDP."
Other speakers included John Higgs, Vice President, Asia Pacific, Riverbed Technology who spoke about WAN optimisation, which he said was selling well because it "enables companies to actually do more with less, cut costs very quickly and get the return on investment."
With a wide range of debates discussing: How important is Green IT?, Test & Measurement: The New Business Imperative, NGN Infrastructure & Carrier Interconnect, Mobile Broadband: The Challenges and Web Security, the conference explored up to the minute issues and produced some interesting discussions and opinions giving the audience food for thought.
