Nan Chen is known in the telecom/networking industry as the founding President of the MEF, which has been materially shaping the telecom and Internet industry by establishing Carrier Ethernet as the predominant technology and service for businesses, homes, mobile infrastructure, and for next generation Internet.

Dennis Kruse, MEF Chairman. Dennis is the head of Business Development for the Network Solutions Business Unit of Orange Business Services. In this role, Dennis is responsible for the marketing strategy, product positioning, pricing and external marketing communications of Orange Business Services' international network services. These services include IPVPN, Ethernet, Small Office Solutions (based on DSL & ISP) and VSAT satellite solutions.

Jonathan Olsson, MBIA editor. Jonathan works in Product Management for Product Line RAN Transmission with Ericsson. For the past two years, he has been the editor of the MEF Mobile Backhaul Implementation Agreement. In addition to his leadership in the MEF, Jonathan is also active in the IP/MPLS Forum’s MPLS in Mobile Backhaul Initiative.

Margaret Chiosi, AT&T. Margaret has been in the data communications industry for over 30 years. She is currently with AT&T Labs responsible for the delivery of Ethernet Services and infrastructures as well as Layer 1 Optics for managed, metro, national and global markets. She has led organizations responsible for FR, ATM, and IP architecture and service development. She is also a member of the MEF Board of Directors.

Michael Howard, Principal Analyst and Founder, Infonetics. With over 35 years of network industry experience, Michael is recognized worldwide as one of the industry’s leading experts in emerging markets, service provider network market trends, and user buying patterns. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a BS in Mathematics, he worked on operating systems and programming language compilers for Arpanet, which later became the Internet.

Michael Volgende, Verizon Michael leads the Marketing team responsible for the development and management of Verizon’s Global Ethernet Product portfolio, including Ethernet Private Line, Ethernet Virtual Private Line, Ethernet LAN, Ethernet Virtual Private LAN Service, Ethernet Packet Ring and Ethernet Access. Mr. Volgende began his career with Verizon in 1983 and held a variety of positions in Marketing, Customer Service, Network Planning, Science & Technology and IT. He has been instrumental in the development and launch of numerous products from IP, Dedicated Internet Access, DSL, Video, FastPacket and ISDN/SS7. Mr. Volgende received a B.S. in Business from State College at Geneseo and MBA in Marketing and International Business from Pace University.

Manek Dubash, Editorial Director of NetEvents TV. Manek is the face of NetEvents TV, which he joined after a successful career as an analyst and journalist in the IT field, including a long tenure with PC Magazine UK, where he was editor-in-chief. One of the highlights of Dubash’s freelance career was serving as a judge for the FT’s prestigious World Communications Awards.
